Philippe Guillerm — Artists Profile
Philippe Guillerm was born in Paris, France in 1959. He started his professional life in Paris, where he produced several pieces for private homes. Through the years, Philippe had the opportunity to travel around the globe with his family on his 48 feet sail boat, and work in different projects around the world such as the Black Pearl Museum in Tahiti, the International Airport in Papeete, the International Airport in New Caledonia, Several Yacht Clubs and Restaurants in Brazil.
All of Philippe's works are made of exotic and local wood such as Mahogany, Poplar, Wengue, Purpleheart, Walnut, Aspen, Jacaranda, Marfin, Rosewood, Imbuia. He uses the wood's color like a painter uses his paint. Philippe build all his Murals, Sculptures and fine furniture in his Camden (Maine) studio and around the world when he travels.
His work is; dream, illusions and reality which invite the viewer to stop and reflect about human nature.
Philippe Guillerm’s works have been exhibited all over the world in galleries in Europe, South America, Pacific Islands and United States. He is in particular demand for his Interior Designs and Murals due to his clear sense of composition and "mise en valeur du sujet". Philippe continues to work on new projects bringing to us dream and inspiration through his art.
